Local Kroger Shoppers
For any of you who have shopped Kroger lately and gotten the story that they are only taking 3 internet coupons PERIOD per transaction, I just spoke with the store manager (who according to the coupon policy has the final say!) and she said that was NOT true, that it is three LIKE internet coupons per transaction. (example: you can use 3 Colgate, 3 Brawny, etc) This shouldn’t be an issue because you can only print 2 unless you print them from 2 different sources, or use more than one computer. This is to help keep people from clearing shelves (yay!). I have to say, the store manager is SUPER nice. Anyway, she said she would make a big sign and put it in the breakroom so no one could say they didn’t see it. It amazes me how many employees are on different pages there! The bad part is, this is the same thing she told a friend of mine WEEKS ago, so why they started doing anything different, I have no idea.

Moneymaker on Cortaid at Walgreens
So, I was out Walgreens earlier and bought Cortaid for $3.99. I used the $3 manufacturer’s coupon and the $2 in-ad coupon (gave last) for $1 overage. I was buying several other things, so it just went toward that.
Another pretty good deal was the Tylenol Cold, buy 2 for $10, use (2) $2 coupons, get $5 RR back. That gets you 2 for $1 after coupons and RR. I took a picture of those, too but loading these to my computer is new for me from my phone and is kind of a pain.
A couple of pictures
Here’s the Colgate I’ve bought at Walmart lately. My mother took a couple. There are 12 toothpastes, though you can’t really tell. This was about $4.56
And here’s some of the shampoo and stuff I’ve gotten stocked up since October. I was running really low. You can also see my facial cleansers to the right of the shampoos and bodywashes to the right of those. The basket above is overstock. I have a rolling cart for some things and there are some more shelves in this closet too.
Walmart 1/19
Not bad, not bad. I had a few things I had to get, but I did a lot of the couponing, too.
I bought:
4 of the Colgate travel toothbrushes $.94 each, used (4) .75 coupons= .19 each
4 Colgate toothpastes at .94 each, used (4) .75 coupons= .19 each
2 Softsoap bodywashes .94 each, used $1.00 coupons= .12 overage
2 KY Jelly $2.84 each, used (2) $3 coupons= .32 overage
2 Schick disposable razor sets $1.97 each, used (2) $2 coupons= .06 overage
Clearanced Febreze candle $3.50, used $2 coupon= $1.50
Fantastik- $1.97, used $1 coupon= .97
Barilla sauce $2.42, used $1 coupon= $1.42
Hefty waste bags $3.34, used $1 coupon= $2.34
Olay soap $2.57, used $1 coupon = $1.57
I bought a few other things I needed and some had smaller coupons and my subtotal before coupons was $62.35, after coupons, $35.95, with tax…$38.57. I had $20.77 on a gift card, so I paid $17.80 OOP
*I found the $1 Softsoap peelies on the multipacks of soap. They are good for bodywash or soap, but exclude 2 oz sizes. The .94 bodywashes are 7.5oz
Walgreens 1/19
I’m just not really sure what happened at Walgreens today. :-O
I found Pantene Curly to Straight clearanced to $1.24 each. What I didn’t realize is that these would ring up BOGO50% since that is the sale on Pantene. I guess I figured since they were on clearance that they wouldn’t ring up that way. I bought 4. So, I gave the cashier 2 $3/2 coupons.
I also bought 1 Schick Quattro @ $8.99 with a $2 coupon and got back a $3 RR
1 box of South Beach snack bars with a $1 coupon and got back a $6 RR
1 box of Toddler Brainstrong clearanced to $4.29 with a $5 IVC (the register takes off $4.29)
So, after the Pantene rang up wonky, the register beeped on the second coupon. I thought it beeped because the 2 shampoos would be $2.48, not $3, but apparently not. She rang the other $3 coupon anyhow, giving me overage. I had to buy a candy bar to use my $10 RR, and paid $1.35 OOP and got back $9 in RR (my subtotal before tax was .35)
After I sat in the car analyzing my receipt, I realized the clearance rings up BOGO50% too! There was more clearance there, but that shampoo was cheapest, that’s why I bought it.
Walgreens…Aleve as little as .04 each (wyb 4)
Get cheap Aleve these week at Walgreens! As little as .04 each! The caplets (50ct) and gelcaps (40ct) are running around $3.79. Use (2) $5/2 coupons from the 12/4 Redplum insert, pay $5.16 (your store may be a few cents different) and get back a $5 RR!
